There is no 'quick fix' to gaining a web presence and it can take many months to get a good listing in the major search engines. This is because a great deal of sites are submitted to them every day and the systems they use are not very effective. Many of the search engines only update their database once every 60 days or so, and they change when they do this so as not to get overwhelmed. So, depending on which day your site is submitted, the time it takes to be listed can vary. Submissions can get missed or ignored, that is why On Target keep submitting and emailing on a regular basis, it is only the sites that are well optimised and pushed that make it.
